CNNBar

Yesterday, I went to the semi-regular wine tasting/buying event in Hannover. It's really freaking awesome. For 10 euro, you get into this party. They have about 16 different wines around and you get a glass. You can just go drink as much of whatever wines you want. Well, ok, if you went every ten minutes to the same guy, he might stop serving you, but its a great chance to go and drink too much wine. Plus, they have awesome Italian food there at the same time. Amazing cheeses, real olives, sun dried tomatos, pasta, italian sausages, extra-virgin olive oils and delicious bread. It's incredible. And only 10 euro...fabulous.

Then last night I went with a couple of guys to an Irish pub. We had a great talk about "world politics" and "world economics". We discussed a lot about how fantastical of a job the media does of really determining what about the world we know about. It was still a lot of fun to discuss for 2 hours about politics and economics. Then our chinese friend left us and me and my two american friends took the bus home. We continued the argument on the bus. It moved much more towards American politics and economics. I fought strongly against both of them. Two (presumably intoxicated) germans on the bus with us listened to our entire conversation and then when we got off togethere they told us we were more interesting than watching TV. I'm not sure if it was because we were in a drunken political furry or because we were actually saying good and interesting things.

We got back to one guy's apartment at about 2:30 and continued to 'discuss' for almost 2 more hours before I finally departed home. It was a good night, in a nerdy entertainment sort of way.
