Cake is the most amazing band ever. Listen to The Guitar Man. It'll make you blow a justicy load. Or at least have an Ohrgasm. (It's funny, cause
...'Ohr' is German for ear.)
Lately, things have been quite hectic. Life's been a little nutso at work. I am trying to find an apartment to move into. (I hope that I found one. I like it quite well and everything, but we have to wait and see.) It has been a rough week or two, but, as Stu put it, I've been 'rolling with the punches.' Well done Stu. It was good talking to you, even if you were quite wasted.
I went wine tasting yesterday evening. That was pretty awesome. It was a totally different type of drinking fest than what I have been to in a while. It was great though. Apparently there is this Italian guy who wholesales wine and every year, he has this event. You're supposed to get invited to the thing then you pay ten bucks and for four hours, you get to eat and drink all you want. The guy makes his own Parmesan cheese in giant 2' diameter wheels. Then he puts them out on the table and people just kind of carve into them. They had bread and sausages and other cheeses and meats and pasta and nearly 20 different kinds of wine to try and coffee and cake...it was the best 10 bucks I have ever spent. Euro bucks, that is. I didn't leave the place totally trashed, cause i did what I could to make sure I didn't make a fool of myself, but I was feeling pretty good and full of whine by the end.
Anyway, life is good and bad at the same time.
I have a couple of entries to post for you. They are spread out quite nicely over the last couple weeks.
Ciao.

Ich lebe wieder.
"To avoid situations in which you might make mistakes may be the biggest mistake of all."
Peter McWilliams
Good quote...
So I learned yesterday how to check my voicemail on my cell phone. That was an experience all in itself. I asked the woman for help and she told me that I had to do exactly what I was trying to ask her to show me how to do. Damned language barriers. When I checked them, I had two voicemails from a bunch of my RA buddies. They called me while they were at Breakfast Club and I missed it. I was absolutely pissed. I felt doubly bad because I ignored their message for nearly two months! They all probably think I just straight up hate them. Sorry guys...I just was too dumb to check my messages. I miss the breakfast club, late nights doing absolutely nothing, and you, my friends.
I promise, I am going to very soon catch up on my emails and will begin to do a better job with the blogging. The last few weeks, as I am sure they have been for many people, especially those still at Rose, have been hellacious. Work ist oft bis 12 Stunden gedauert. Ich spreche Deutsch immer besser. Wann ich trinke, spreche ich seeeeehr gut auf Deutsch.
Deutsch classes have been shitty. They are too boring, but I can't go to the next class because I am too busy/lazy to work hard enough to actually learn something new. I really don't think my German has really improved in nearly a month. I am learning a few new words, but I should be relearning and learning sentence structures, how to make more complex sentences, learning some slang, etc.
Peace out home dawgs. Leave me some love at least take your car for a drive for me... Don't go anywhere in particular, just drive for the pure enjoyment of driving.
